My name is Ogugua Chukwunwike M. — but most people call me Uncle Chuks.

I’ve spent well over a decade working in and around technology — across different sectors, roles, and challenges. But through all of it, one thing has remained constant:

A deep passion for helping people understand technology without feeling overwhelmed.

Tech can feel intimidating. Confusing. Even frustrating.

But I believe it doesn’t have to be.

And that belief is why this platform exists.

Where It All Started

My love for technology began long before it became my profession. I’ve always enjoyed figuring out how things work, solving problems, and seeing how the right use of technology can make life easier.

But everything changed when I began managing ICT in a school.

I watched brilliant students walk into computer classes curious — and walk out confused.

These were students who excelled in other subjects. Students who represented the school in competitions. Students who brought home awards and made everyone proud.

Yet when it came to computer studies, many of them struggled.

Not because they weren’t intelligent.
Not because they didn’t try.

But because technology was being taught in a way that didn’t connect with them.

Too much jargon.
Too much memorization.
Too little real understanding.

The result? Widespread failure in computer studies.

That experience opened my eyes.

If capable students can struggle with technology, then the problem isn’t the students — it’s how we’re teaching it.

I realized something important:

If technology is going to be for everyone, then someone needs to translate it.

So I decided to become that translator.

And that decision led to the creation of Tech with Uncle Chuks.

Why “Uncle Chuks”?

In many cultures, an “uncle” isn’t just a relative. It’s someone you trust. Someone patient. Someone who explains things without making you feel small.

The uncle who says:

“You don’t know this yet? That’s fine. Let’s learn it together.”

That’s the role I choose to play here.

Not a distant expert on a pedestal.
Not another voice throwing complex technical terms around.

Just Uncle Chuks — making technology feel like a conversation, not a lecture.

What I Believe

Technology is for everyone. Not just the “tech people.”

That belief guides everything I create.

I believe:

• There’s no such thing as a “non-tech person” — only people who haven’t had the right explanation yet.

• If you’re confused, it’s not your fault. It means something wasn’t explained clearly.

• Learning should feel like progress, not punishment.

• With the right guidance, anyone can become confident using technology.
